Parotid gland nodule and contrast-enhanced MRI recommendation

A well-circumscribed iso/hypoechoic nodule measuring 9x8x20 mm and adjacent to it measuring 6x4 mm was observed in the inferior left parotid gland. Contrast-enhanced MRI is recommended. What does this mean?
